Sake Bottle (Tokkuri) by Rui Mito, crafted in Karatsu.

The form is minimalist and taut, tapering upward from a prominent, sweeping hip to sloped shoulders, then opening outward with almost no neck.

The base and foot remain unglazed, revealing the rich tones and textures of the fired clay. The glaze features a muted, deep greenish-brown hue (reminiscent of nightingale brown), with unique yohen (kiln mutations) born from the touch of fire and ash. It evokes a quality that is both cool and serenely warm.
