A tea bowl by Yui Tsujimura, a ceramic artist whose studio is located in the mountains between Nara and Iga.

A large, weighty tea bowl with a lemon-shaped rim. Despite its size, it has a delicate, gentle character. Tsujimura seems to find it difficult to make small, finely detailed pieces, and perhaps his works naturally tend to grow larger. In other words, this bowl does not feel as though it was made with the deliberate intention of creating something large, but rather that its size emerged naturally in the process of making it.
