Gentle hand washing is recommended.
Do not use a washing machine or dryer.
Do not bleach.
Dry flat in the shade.
Store away from direct sunlight and humidity.
Natural variations in texture, color, and shape are part of the character of this handcrafted work.
For indigo-dyed pieces, some color transfer may occur when the fabric becomes damp from sweat or rain.
Color may also fade slightly with friction if rubbed strongly.
Washing instructions are the same as for the plant-dyed pieces above.
When soaked in water, the water may appear yellow. This comes from the wood ash used in the indigo dyeing process and is not a cause for concern. Rinsing away the lye thoroughly will help the indigo color become clearer.
Both indigo dye and plant dye will change gradually over time with use.

手仕事による作品のため、釉調や表情には個体差があります。これらは作品の特性としてご理解ください。
染織家・永井泉による敷布。自ら栽培した和綿を手紡ぎし、草木染めをして手織りした作品。
絣の技法を用いた柄を含む配色、太く紡がれた糸のざっくりとした風合いが爽やかである。糸そのものリズム、織りの立体性もあり、敷布というモノの舞台・結界であることに留まらず、裂地の小品としての鑑賞性を持っている。

〈お手入れについて〉
・植物染め作品
普段の洗濯は水、またはぬるま湯で押し洗いしてください。汚れが気になるときは中性洗剤をご使用ください。
褪色や日焼けを防ぐためには、直射日光が当たる場所での使用や保管はお避けください。
・藍染め作品
藍の特性上、汗や雨などで湿った際に、色移りすることがあります。 強く擦った際、摩擦により色落ちすることがあります。
洗濯は上記草木染の作品と同じです。水に浸けた際、水が黄色くなることがありますが、藍建てで使う木灰の色ですのでご安心ください。灰汁をきれいに洗い流すことで、藍の色が冴えてきます。
藍染も草木染も使い、時を経ることで色が変化していきます。たくさん使いながら、布を育ててください。
