手仕事による作品のため、釉調や表情には個体差があります。これらは作品の特性としてご理解ください。
矢野直人の茶碗。
やや小ぶりなサイズであり、小服・旅茶碗にも良いかと思うが、通常の大きさの茶筅も入る。
鉄絵は正面の丸ひとつ。その上部の窯傷は、あらかじめ金継ぎにより繕われている。
ほんの少し開いた、また軽く面取された高台からゆっくりと外に開き、中央付近に轆轤目による段を持ち、口縁では端反りする、いくつかの傾きをもつラインの複合として器形が作られている。
畳付きはしっかりとした幅を持ち、高台内は細かな縮緬がみられる。
灰釉はニュートラルなグレーからほんのわずかに緑色がかっているようにもみえる色をベーストーンとし、一部にほんのりと青く発色する部分もある。
高台、高台脇からその上にかけて土見せも広がり、素地はきめ細かく焼きしまっている。内側の釉薬はやや厚みがあるようにも見え、ちいさな火間が数カ所に見られる。
