Tori Yoshino
Yoshino Tori's tea caddy is so light.
The famous Chinese tea caddies are generally light, which is a testament to the potter's skill. Yoshino Tori's tea caddies are also very light. This is not due to superb technique to attract attention, but rather to subtle skill, a core technique.
The gentleness that is characteristic of Hagi, the bold changes in the kiln, and the quiet nature of the pottery allow for a time to be spent facing the pottery with deep appreciation. As the saying goes, "The peach tree does not speak, but beneath it a path naturally forms," many enthusiasts have rushed to follow the lonely path of Yoshino peach tree.
