Mamiko Imai is a unique fragrance artist who is active as a "fragrance artist." She sees fragrance as an art form and engages in cross-genre activities, such as creating improvised scents at live events.

Unlike well-known, long-established incense stores, Asami Imai creates incense using only natural ingredients (hence the name "all natural"), and is able to create a diverse lineup of scents. This time, to coincide with the "Yurasu Kaori Exhibition" being held at Rikkan, we asked her to create a special fragrance exclusive to Rikkan .

No synthetic fragrances, colorings or other chemical ingredients are used , and each stick is made by hand using traditional methods using only ingredients that have long been valued as incense ingredients.

Its traditional nature overturns conventional notions about incense.

The fragrance of the dynasty revived in modern times.

Three types of incense sticks and one type of incense paste are limited edition products .

Each sachet is unique (you can choose the scent inside from "Hanazuri," "Itoyu," and "Hazuma").

Old silk braided cord scented sachet

A special sachet made to order by bag maker Enomoto Yumiko.

We used antique cloth from our offshore stock that is suitable for making sachets. The stitching and silk braiding were done by Yumiko Enomoto. It's a very careful and beautiful piece of work. It's small, but it has an aura about it. The scent comes out when you rub it (it's very pleasant).

Material: Antique cloth, pure silk braid

You can choose from three scents: "Hanazuri," "Itoyu," and "Hakama." It's recommended to place it in a dresser drawer (where underwear is closest to the skin), in your bag, or even next to your pillow for a good night's sleep (don't place it under the pillow, but somewhere next to the pillow where you can smell the scent). It will transfer its scent to surrounding objects for about six months, and last for about a year.

Once the scent has run out, you can purchase the contents separately. (If you would like another Rikkan exclusive scent, please contact Rikkan.)

"Hanazuri": The most refreshing fragrance of the three. Leaving the shore, you can feel the breeze.

"Itoyu": The sweetest of the three varieties. It is gentle and has a strong core.

"Bald": Calmness and depth. It has the lowest center of gravity and calmness of the three types.
